Grants for Further Education

The Arthur Allen Education Trust is a Charity which owns a block of agricultural land which was gifted to it on the death of Arthur Allen in the 1970’s, and the rent from which provides the charity’s income

The purpose is to provide modest grants to young people who live in, or were born in the parish of Evercreech. Applicants must be between 16 and 25 years of age and undergoing further education.

Applications may be made once the applicant has received confirmation of a place in further education, and must be accompanied by two references which are to be obtained by the applicant. The closing date for applications is 30th September each year. Grants are awarded in late October or early November, with the amount depending on the income of the Trust, and the number of applicants.

Further details of the Trust and it’s Trustees is available on the Charity Commission website.

Application forms are available from this site, from the Evercreech Pharmacy, or from the secretary tom_stearn@btinternet.com
