Temporary Road Closure

Somerset County Council Various Roads, Shepton Mallet (Temporary Traffic Restrictions) Order 2022 Bath & West Show Notice is hereby given that Somerset County Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, intends to make an Order, the effect of which will be to introduce the following temporary traffic restrictions as detailed in the Schedules below. The Order shall come into operation on the 26th day of May 2022 and will remain in force for eighteen months. The Order will be made to facilitate the Bath & West Show Event and is in the interest of public safety. All closures will be signed and staffed and will remain in force only for as long as is necessary. Exemptions are provided in the Order for emergency vehicles and any vehicles associated with the event. Note: Any residents and businesses requiring access and egress along Bagborough Lane will be granted. A copy of the draft Traffic Regulation Order and the associated plans can be examined at www.somerset.gov.uk/TRO. For information of the alternative route, where applicable, visit www.one.network.
